a golden heart with a brilliant mind. Full of compassion, humility, perseverance and hard work..He gave of himself unselfishly and literally left nothing really much for himself and his family..because..he gave all! Ed was a true servant of the people he was called to serve..blessed are they to have him for so many years..as a mayor three termer and as its first congressman..made the dumping place for squatters ..the first city of Bulacan..improved tremendously the plight of the people he was tasked to serve committedly and whole heartedly. Ed was a very generous man..with his time, talent and treasures..of his very person. He never denied anyone be it friend or foe in the political arena..any favors they ask. He wasn't a trapo...
Ed was and continues to be San Jose del Monte's HERO..notwithstanding that Ed was a migrant..who loved unselfishly..and again gave all his all..How never worked and toiled to enrich himself..that's why..he didnt leave much..he even left on the contrary some loans..as reported...Ed would loan for someone in need..and even use his resources as collateral..and even pay the loan himself if the one whom he loaned for couldn't put up with its responsibilities!..That is and was Ed as a leader..as a servant..as a friend..as a brother..as a neighbor!..there is so much to tell about Ed..it would be a good idea to write a book..on how he served..so others may know..what true servanthood is all about..which the least of..is self-seeking!..I do hope that some sort of tribute may be give this great man..who silently served..and worked..unlimitedly..and unselfishly..at least a monument..a book..a street in honor of his memory would be fine..so others may see..a good example...of servanthood..and so others may follow his rare example..May Ed's soul rest in peace..may he find the happiness he searched and longed for in this world which he couldnt find..May the memory of this hard working man..who served unselfishly who only thought of others...in all his goodness..
